Mission Day 1ne

Got a call from Mercy Relief (MR) a 12pm.
MR: Assalamu'alaikum.. fiz
Me: Wa'alaikumussalam
MR: U wanna follow our team to johor? Tolong mangsa banjir. With us Mercy Relief.
Me: Huh? serious kaper bang? Bila ni?
MR: Kita tolak mlm ni.. 6pm jumpa.
Me: Wahaaa?? Mlm ni jgak? aiseh.. waah.. bila nak kena konferm ni?
MR: Before Zuhur?
Me: Huh? before zuhur? haiz... aiseh.. ok ok.. call u later..

And so.. i called the few most important ppl, my boss to get leave cleared, my parents to get their blessings, Saff peeps to handover and clear outstanding matters.. all seems ok..After all tt, OK GO... phew..

And so.. there i am.. with less than 5hrs to prepare, i went ahead with tt mission.The best part, the meeting time was changed to 7.30pm, i was still outside, and cant do anything yet n get ready to prepare for the trip. I still got to go for a meet, pergi jemputan, carik kek, carik barang, pergi saff sjap.. haha.. gila eh..Abih, i got home at 6pm. 1 and half hours to prepare!!
eh mcm panjang lebar plak eh? n so.. im gone tt nite lah.. ok... movin on..

8pm
Met d new geng, Jessica, Gui Qing, Erzan n Izuan @ Kranji MRT.. took a ride into JB.Fast forward.In the car.. We just got to noe tt we need to pack like 2000 packs of hygiene kit! Haha. Yah 2000! Well u noe tings like shampoo, toothpaste n disposable undegarments! N more! Really! Essential items beb! So, we, 5 of us.. Yes 5 of us, are suppose to pack all of these b4 4am! Baik aah!

Now still outside giant, 10.18pm.. Eating fries at d Mac, waiting... Apparently they still need to prepare 4 all of the items..Ape taknya lambat.. 2000 of each items seh..
ok.. Outside Giant.. We went to grab all 2000 soaps n blabla of towel, shampoo, sanitary pads, toothpaste n toothbrush.
Hehe.. We waited till like after closing time.. 11pm like tt..
Then we took all of these home, izuan's mum's home. Coolness..

These are the load of stuffs that we had to pack.. we packed all night.. from 1am all the way.. till subuh.. dah tak tahan.. penat sangat.. 5 org jer buat.. abih dah subuh... i went to pray 1st.. after my prayers.. to my surprise.. tadaaa...

REINFORCEMENT HAS ARRIVED!!!

Peeps from the Landrover Club Singapore, Pearl Frost from CNA... came down to join the mission... (though only for 1 day... :) but its ok... ) We went all the way packing and packing.. putting that 5 things into plastic bags. Thats our hygiene kit. One of the most essential item to survive in times of emergency.

move out.. from izuan's place.. the whole convoy got ready..

Saw flooded areas along the way at lebuh raya.. 1st hour takde pape.. but the last 15 mins b4 we make a turn into pagoh, we saw flood areas on our left and right..

Wat a luck, along the way, one of the landrover caught some flu.. haiz.. waited for abt 1 hr... to settle that car.. nvm.. padehal.. ttss the most coolest looking landrover.. a 37 year old british army landrover.. well.. nvm.. hehe.. its old yah..

Rendevous with Mercy Malaysia Team at Hotel Classic at bandar muar.. Hey i didnt noe we're goin to a hotel.. we were told to bring sleeping bags.. i already prepared an outdoor survival backload of stufs. siap hammock lah ape lah.. sekali tido pat hotel.. oklah.. at least after a long day of werk, we need good rest.. ok..

Btw, super impress with the Mercy Malaysia team. THey are like super equipped! THey got an Storm! (a name of a jeep) and they got hold of Petronas Adventure Team (PAT). they got like boats and stuff and all.

Ok, then we went in for a briefing, by the VP of Mercy Malaysia.. Updating us the situation, what have they been doing, how many evacuated, how many evacuation centres, wat are the help still needed.. n yada yada.. haiz.. i didnt imagine d number evacuated was so high..

Soon later we move out to 1st site.. On my way there, i had to sit at the back of a landrover.. we went into flood areas... it feels like being on top of a boat.. da tak nampak roda da kreta.. jeep tau.. i mean landrover.. kan tinggi.. ok ok..

1st site, Pagoh.

At tt time, theres 404 family, 1862 ppl in total, staying in this Dewan Sukan Belia. A total of 15 kampungs in this area affected.

We dropped of abt 400 hygiene kits here. The people here, helped us willingly.. Soon they formed a human chain by our landrover.. and we started passing over the kits.. bit by bit..

Met someone, a young chap with his daughter. Fauzy nama dia.. Dia kata, abg dari spore?

Saya pon dulu tinggal spore.. bila kecik2 laa.. Daerah sembawang.. jual kuih semua.. pat kampung.. kampung apa tu... yg pat sembawang tepi laut... aaaah... haa! Kampung Wak Hassan. (i remember this place..)
